Giving, makes us richer in our hearts, and having billions could take care of alot of things in this world, like hunger and homelessness, but commercials will ask for donations from poor people, using rich famous celebrities. It's like, YOU, rich person, you're famous, you could probably save a thousand animals, or make a thousand housing units for homeless ppl, but you'd rather hoard ALL that money instead of helping. We're not talking a couple million dollars. These ppl have DOUBLE DIGIT BILLIONS. They could easily give 10 million away, and still be rolling in the billions. It's just so sad and crazy to see.

I didn't know many of the women billionaires by name except for Walton and Jeff Bezos wife become a billionaire from the divorce settlement. 37 billion for pain and emotional grief..Bettencourt was a the wealthiest and I was expecting Queen Elizabeth to be high on the list.

Life is definitely not fair and it seems like paying for basic necessities in such a modern era would be easy for everyone but it's getting harder and harder for people to get by and the economy doesn't seem to be improving no matter what the mainstream media keeps telling us. There should be no such thing as hunger and homelessness in the world when our government spends billions on space exploration and war . If Susan's net worth is less than Jacqueline's, then her ranking "in the world" should be lower than 48.
"Richest Person" (that includes both men and women) ranking is different from "Richest Woman" only.
I don't think there's a contradiction. It says that Susanne is the 8th richest WOMAN in the world and 65th richest person overall (which includes males and other females). Therefore, Jacqueline Mars is the 48th richest person overall while Susanne is the 65th.

Don't know if you are referring to only the women listed here or rich women in general but there's been many self made female billionaires. Oprah Winfrey came from one of the poorest neighborhoods in Nashville TN working as a news anchor. She became one of the first talk show hosts in America and was number one for a couple of decades. She is a self made billionaire. The first female billionaires in the US was a black woman ( don't remember her name) but she started a hair care products company in the 1920s and built it into an empire. This century has produced many great women both rich and poor

I know that if I was rich I'd share with the less fortunate.Im retired on Medicare . Would love to work but have a disability. Struggle with buying food and I cringe every time it rain because I have a leaky roof.
There are programs that will help pay for your roof. I'm not sure what they are called but Human services can probably put you in touch. If you attend a church you should tell your pastor and maybe the church could help with the costs of repairs. I too am disabled after working thirty years so I understand how hard it can be. Hopefully you will be able to get help.

I have lived in 23 countries. I got there by myself mostly by belief that I could do it. Most of the time I had little or no money and the chance would always come somehow and I would go to the next place. I just believed God wanted me to go there to learn something. I have never seen God so it is either my belief in him or my belief in myself that got me there. All I had to do was decide to be there and find a way to get there. So I don't believe God gives you any thing but faith in yourself. If I waited for God to send me there, it might never have happened. I just go and somehow get there, or I would have never lived in 23 countries. I don't think you can do anything if you don't decide it first. I have to decide to make the steps or they never get made.
