WB JECA Application Form 2023

The WB JECA is going to be conducted shortly. The candidates can fill up the application form through the official portal. The application forms are invited by the authorities. The aspirants can fill up the forms till 8th Feb 2023.

The JECA applications form portal opened on 27th JAN 2023. The West Bengal Joint Examination for Masters in Computer Applications 2023 official notification have provided all the major information for the candidates applying. The candidates should have a valid mobile number and email id as well.

WB JECA Application Form

WB JECA Exam Date 2023

The tentative JECA exam date is the 8th of July 2023. The dates will be confirmed by the officials in the coming months. It will be OMR based Common Entrance exam.

The exam is scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon and will be concluded by 02:00 p.m. It will an OMR-based exam for the Master of Computer Application (MCA) that will be imparted in different universities, government as well as self-financed institutes in West Bengal.

The rules of the exam are shared on the official site. The candidates shall read them before giving the exam. The exam will help enrol the students who are willing to educate themselves further in the field of computers.

WB JECA Eligibility 2023

The details regarding the eligibility to apply for the JECA are provided here. Those who fulfil these shall fill out the application form before the aforementioned dates.

  • To apply for the JECA one should be a citizen of India.
  • The candidates should have passed or appeared in the undergraduate level /final sem exam.

The candidates belonging to the categories: SC, ST, OBC-A(NCL), OBC-B(NCL), PwD will be eligible to get the reservation.

WB JECA Fee 2023

The candidates applying for the WB JECA shall check the application as per the category they belong to. They can fill out the form and do the payment through net banking or credit or debit card or UPI method.

General candidates Rs 500
SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates Rs 400

The application fee once deposited will not be refunded by the authorities. After the registration is done changes cannot be made to the information about the candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, domicile and date of birth.

The candidates will be able to make other changes in the allotted ‘Correction Period’ by the Board.

WB JECA Exam Pattern 2023

The exam pattern is shared by the Board so that the candidates can prepare accordingly. They can take help from the previous papers to get an idea of the questions. There will be only one paper.

Each Q carries 1 mark

(-ve marks = -1/4)

Category-II

Each Q carries 2 marks

As per the notification, all questions will be multiple-choice questions. The total time that will be provided to the candidates will be 2 hours. The medium of the question paper will be English only.

WB JECA Scoring Method 2023

The information regarding the syllabus is provided in the information bulletin. The scoring method is provided below. It is separately mentioned for both parts.

Category-I Category-II
i. Only one option is correct.
ii. Correct answers will yield 1 (one) mark for each question.
iii. Incorrect response will yield -1/4 (25% negative) marks for each
question.
iv. For any combination of more than one option, even if it contains the
correct option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield –
¼ (negative 25%) marks.
v. Zero marks will be awarded for not attempting any question.
i. One or more option(s) is/are correct.
ii. Marking all correct options only will yield 2 (two) marks.
iii. For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect
options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect, and it will yield zero
(0) mark even if one or more of the chosen option(s) is/are correct.
iv. For partially correct answers, i.e., when all correct options are not
marked and also no incorrect options are marked, marks awarded = 2 ×
(no of correct options marked/ total no of actually correct options)
v. Zero marks will be awarded for not attempting any question.
