There is no official announcement about the Severance season 2 premiere date. The science fiction series will be back. Before the conclusion of the first season of Severance, season 2 got approved. Additionally, Severance season 2’s Twitter announcement that filming would begin in October 2022 suggests we can expect a release in early 2024 or even late 2023.

The thriller series’ director Ben Stiller has hinted that there would be more seasons beyond the second season. “The journey to get Severance on television has been a long one. Five years ago, I read Dan’s pilot,” Stiller remarked. “It has always been a story of several seasons, so I’m thrilled we can continue it. I appreciate our Apple TV Plus partners, who have supported us throughout the process.”
Severance Season 2 Cast
The four staff members would be back for Severance season 2. For those who aren’t sure, that’s Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry), and Irving (John Turturro).
Also confirmed are Patricia Arquette’s return as Mrs Cobel, the office manager, and Tramell Tillman’s comeback as Seth Milchick. Considering how their narrative ended, we hope Christopher Walken will reprise his role as Irving’s potential suitor Burt.

Severance Season 2 Plot
Severance follows Mark, a member of the Macrodata Refinement team of Lumon Industries. Once his wife Gemma passes away, he chooses to participate in the severance program, which causes his view of reality to get split into two: his “innie” only remembers a working life with his coworkers, his “outie” has no memory of anything related to work.
He works with Dylan, Irving, and “Helly R,” a new employee who faces difficulty adjusting and has even attempted suicide – only for her “outie” to turn down her resignation request, thereby imprisoning her.
We last saw Dylan getting tackled to the ground by Milchick after allowing the “innies” to escape their bodies. Season 1 ended with one of the most dramatic cliffhangers of the past ten years: Irving arrived at Burt’s door after their romantic connection in Lumon only to discover he’s already in a relationship.
According to Erickson, this foray into the outer world will have repercussions for the story of Severance Season 2. According to him, the world will undoubtedly grow to some extent. We’ll get to see more of the building and the outside world when we’re inside Lumon.
