NEST Exam Pattern 2023

According to the sources, we have mentioned the NEST exam pattern for the examination:

  • The mode of examination of the NEST will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) online exam.
  • All questions in the paper will be designed as Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The time period to complete the test will be 4 hours.
  • Questions in the NEST will contain an overall 200 marks.
  •  In the NEST examination question paper, there will be four different sections comprising subjects like biology, physics, mathematics, & chemistry. Each subject will contain 17 queries, of which 5 queries will be multiple correct answers MCQs & 12 will be single correct answers MCQs.
  • Applicants will earn 2.5 marks for correctly answering a single correct answer MCQ & 4 marks for multiple correct answers MCQs.
  • There will be no negative or opposing marking in multiple correct answer MCQs, but in single correct answer MCQs, 1 mark will get reduced for a wrong answer.

Furtherly, we have provided a table below to make it more clear.

Section Subject Marks
1 Physics 50
2 Biology 50
3 Mathematics 50
4 Chemistry 50
