Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (Karnataka TET 2023) is a competitive entrance examination conducted by the Government of Karnataka to determine the eligibility of candidates for recruiting teachers for classes I to VIII in the state.

The Karnataka School Education Department will release the KarTET Notification for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) in 2023. The examination will be executed to recruit suitable applicants as teachers in schools run by the state government. Paper I will be for those who desire to teach from classes 1 to 5, while Paper II will be for candidates who wish to teach from classes 6 to 8.

Candidates must have passed class 12 and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) to be eligible to apply. The exam fee is Rs. 500/- for General/OBC category applicants and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The application procedure will begin once the authorised KarTET Notification is released by the department which will conduct the recruitment procedure.

KarTET Form 2023

Candidates who wish to pursue a career in teaching in the state will have to appear for the TET. The form will be available online on the official website of the Karnataka Government and can be submitted only online. The candidates will have to fill in their personal and educational details. They will also have to pay the application fee before presenting the form.

The examination will be conducted in papers, Prelims and Mains. The candidates will have to qualify for both papers in order to be eligible for the teaching job. After qualifying for the TET, the candidates will be eligible for the Primary and Secondary School Teacher posts.

KarTET Eligibility 2023

Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) 2023 is an eligibility test conducted by Karnataka Government to select eligible candidates for teaching jobs in the state. The lowest academic capability mandated to apply for the K-TET 2023 exam is a bachelor’s degree in B.Ed from an identified university. Applicants should have the lowest aggregate of 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree. Applicants should have cleared their Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or equivalent exam from a remembered board.

Candidates should have a valid Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) certificate from the Central or State Government. The minimum age limit for applying for the K-TET 2023 exam is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 35 years. Applicants must be a citizen of India, and the candidates belonging to the reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit.

The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2023 application form will be completed online. Candidates will be required to upload certain documents, which are as follows:

  • Recent passport-size photograph: The photograph should be clear and taken on a white background.
  • Signature: The signature should be in a prescribed format.
  • Identity Validation: Any one of the identity proofs, such as an Aadhar Card, Voter ID card, PAN card, Driving License, etc., should be uploaded.
  • Educational Qualification Documents: Candidates must upload scanned copies of their academic documents, such as mark sheets, certificates, etc.
  • Category Certificate: Applicants belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories must upload the category credential.
  • Experience Certificate: Candidates with previous teaching experience must upload their experience certificates.
  • Payment Receipt: The application fee payment receipt should be uploaded.

KarTET Process 2023

The Karnataka TET selection process 2023 consists of two steps. In the first step, applicants will have to appear for the written exam. The written examination will be performed in two papers, Paper I and Paper II. The written examination will consist of multiple-choice questions. The syllabus for the written exam will be as prescribed by the Government of Karnataka.

In the second step, the merit list will be prepared based on the marks acquired by the applicants in the written examination. Candidates who qualify for the written examination will be called for the document verification process in which original documents and valid ID proof must be presented. Finally, the selected candidates will be issued with a Karnataka TET certificate.
