The recruitment procedure includes an examination for the candidate who passed 12th and contains a valid conductor license to work in Himachal Pradesh. The minimum age to apply for this position is 18 years, and the maximum age is 45 years. Himachal Pradesh Government took the decision to recruit conductors for 360 posts. From the 360 posts, only 130 are for the unreserved candidates, and four seats are for the unreserved wards of freedom fighters. Thirty-eight vacancies are reserved for the Economically weaker section and 63 for OBC of HP. Similarly, 13 for OBC of BPL(HP), 2 for OBC of HP (wards of freedom fighters), 73 for SC of HP, 13 for SC (HP BPL), 4 for SC (HP wards of freedom fighters), 15 for ST of HP, and 5 for ST of HP(BPL).

There will be no fee applicable for Ex-Servicemen of HP, Blind, Visually Impaired HP and Female applicants.
