Holi Panchang 2023

The Hindu Panchang states that the Holi festival shall be observed yearly on Purnima (whole Moon) in Faagun mass. The Holika Dahan will be performed on 7th March. The ceremony is also called the Choti Holi.
Many delicacies like the gujiyas and other sweets are made on occasion. The kids play with pichkari and throw colors at each other. On Holika Dahan, the fire is lit, and Prahald, the ardent follower of the Lord Vishu, is symbolized by the green channa branch. Then after the Holika is burned, the branch remains saved as a representation of his devotion and lord Vishu’s blessings.
