The central bank holidays are Republic Day -26th Jan, Independence Day- 15th Aug, and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti- 2nd Oct.
Why are Bank Holidays called Bank holidays?
The question might bother you sometimes, Right? You might not be aware of what bank holidays are and why they differ from any public holiday. well, the answer is the bank holiday were introduced in 1871 by Sir John Lubbock. These days, banks do not do any financial transactions. The dealings are postponed for the following days.
